Project Owner - Western Australian State Government – Main Roads
Client - Highway Works Albem JV (HWAJV) A Joint Venture Between Highway Construction, Downer EDI Works and Albem
Location - Dampier/Karratha, North West, Western Australia
Quantity of Concrete Delivered - 12,000+m3 anticipated
Project Duration - 2011 - Current
Details - The $40m Dampier Highway Duplication project involves the duplication of 12.3km of road and its intersections between Balmoral Road West in Karratha and Burrup Road in Dampier, Western Australia.

MCS’s involvement in the project came about due to the previous concrete suppliers servicing the project showing disinterest in tackling the rigorous RTA spec for concrete pavement roads. MCS was keen to take on the challenge and has resulted in a fantastic working relationship with the client(s) and a successful project to date.

For this project MCS is supplying a number of concrete products, with the two most important and involving from a technical point, being specifically designed sub-base and base course mixes.
